A shop that only sells PPF will tell you PPF solves everything. A shop that only sells ceramic will tell you the same about coatings. We install both — plus correction — because the honest answer is almost always "it depends on the vehicle." Our job is figuring out what yours actually needs, not steering you toward whatever we have in stock.
Correction has to happen first because both PPF and ceramic seal whatever condition your paint is in at the moment of application. Defects corrected after the fact mean redoing the protective layer on top of them.
PPF goes on before ceramic because Liquid PPF needs to bond directly to bare, corrected paint. Ceramic coating is then applied over the full vehicle — including over the LPF on the front end — for a uniform finish and extended warranty coverage when the two are stacked.
Not every vehicle needs all three. Plenty of our clients get correction and ceramic only, or ceramic alone on a newer vehicle in good condition. We tell you what's actually necessary at your consultation — not what sells the biggest package.
Little to no correction needed. Most clients go straight to ceramic coating, often with LPF on the front end before the vehicle sees any real road time. This is the easiest and most cost-effective time to protect a vehicle — there's nothing to undo first.
Usually needs at least single-stage correction to address wash-induced swirling and minor oxidation before coating. Ceramic coating is the core recommendation. LPF makes sense if the vehicle sees regular highway or unpaved road exposure.
Likely needs two-stage or multi-stage correction before any coating goes on. We gauge paint depth on every panel first — correction has limits, and we'll tell you honestly if a defect can't be fully removed without risking the clear coat.
Often a candidate for traditional TPU film by inspection, sometimes alongside ceramic. Owners in this category frequently prioritize a removable protective layer over factory paint — we evaluate this case by case, vehicle inspection required.
